Ashton's Puddle is a whimsical nursery rhyme about a lovable feline who gets stuck in a mud puddle during his adventure in the great outdoors! The illustrations were created using soft watercolours to create vibrant and playful imagery.

I enjoyed creating the main character and found it entertaining bringing both the story and the character to life with his expressions. I kept the illustrations clean and simple placing emphasis on the character's current situation and problem at hand.

I would like to personally thank Kelly Wadden for selecting me as the illustrator for Ashton's Puddle.

And a special thank you to her son who inspired the whole story! Throughout the book you will see Ashton's toy "Meme" a tiny little creature made to fit in his pocket.

In the future, Kelly plans to write another fun and adventurous story making a mini series using this feline as the main character. I look forward to continuing as her illustrator and I am excited to find out what new adventure awaits this adorable feline!
